What is a zine?A zine is a fan-created publication dedicated to something, usually made for the enjoyment of other fans. It commonly contains art and short stories.What is this zine about?This zine is about Sonia Nevermind from Super Danganronpa 2! It will feature everything Sonia; from her upbringing in Novoselic, her time at Hope’s Peak, her despairing apocalyptic years, her killing game times, and her post canon hijinks!Will this zine be for charity or for profit?Our zine will be for profit, meaning that all revenue from our sales will be distributed evenly among contributors and mods at the end of the project.
If our funds allow it, contributors will also be receiving the merch bundle for free! In the case that we cannot afford it, then we will be offering it at production cost.Is this zine going to be digital or physical?This will be a digital and physical zine, with digital and physical merch.What will be the specs of this zine?This zine will be made to look like Sonia’s journal.
It would feature not just art of her experiences, but her own thoughts and dreams! We're expecting to have about 60 pages, dimensions A5. We would produce digital merch like emotes, wallpapers, and printable merch. Physical merch includes sticker sheets and prints!-Both Atti and Lynn were on Destination:Despair as mods. That zine was poorly managed and took six months to be formatted. Are you guys equipped to mod this zine?Yes, Lynn and Atti were on Destination:Despair. Atti was a formatting mod, and Lynn as a finance mod. The zine was not run by either of them, they were more side mods. Formatting took a long time to format due to Atti not having access to the full credits of the mods and contributors. It took months to get everyone’s credits due to that. The zine was fully finished, only without the credits, for months. It only took two weeks to format, which is the typical amount of time it takes Atti to format. Lynn was originally pulled in as a replacement finance mod, as the mod team had a multitude of changes to their team before and during the zine’s runtime. Lynn’s job was to set up the store and send the payments, which were done in less than about two months time, including the pre-order period. The pre-order period, when discussed when the zine was in its earlier stages, was to be done after the zine was completely formatted, as they were debating between placing it on Gumroad, itch.io, or BigCartel. As far as the mod team knows, there were no issues brought to them regarding any problems with receiving the digital zine, digital merchandise, or payment. The issue was more on the organization aspect of the entire zine.
Both Atti and Lynn ask: if you have any questions about how Destination: Despair was; please be considerate of your concerns. Both of them did not have a good experience with the zine, or wish to think much of it now. Since then, they've improved as mods and are much more professional and organized. We all promise we will take these roles seriously and keep on schedule.
